Pilates promotes body awareness and uses a series of exercises focussed on spinal/pelvic alignment and correct breathing techniques to strengthen the core and improve muscular balance, strength, posture, balance and coordination. With the addition of yoga, a grounding start with a relaxing shavasana makes this a complete mind and body practice.
